You're an intern at the Museum of Magical Objects, and now you're in charge of planning the exhibit of cursed artifacts. Surely nothing could go wrong... unless you display the wrong item, in which case, the whole museum could end up cursed.

- Examine a collection of magical artifacts
- Plan a successful, well-attended exhibit
- Avoid cursing your workplace (trapped item is randomly chosen each playthrough)
- Get a date?
- Get two dates??
- Pet a cat
- Do not profit; this internship is unpaid.

this is one of my favorite bitsy games that i've played!! the way the fantasy is merged with the modern-day is so well-done, i love the radio show segments (the good fairy inc. and the sphinx ones were hilarious to me) and the way the magic is talked about. the cursed objects are fun to find, and the characters are well-written and enjoyable! this is a really great game, i'll definitely be coming back to this one :]

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It makes me incredibly happy to know that you had favorite little details, and had enough fun to leave such a lovely comment. Today especially has been real rough in the game dev world, so it means extra much right now to get a reminder that my li'l games can bring people some joy. Thank you for playing!

Amazing. Where do I start? The story is just great both on the concept and execution levels. Characters brimming with life, dialogs funny and masterfully crafted. Each artifact feels unique and tells its own little story in just a few sentences. That's really impressive! Those excerpts from the radio show - what a tangential detail, yet they've added so much to the feel and vibe of the game! The gameplay is simple, but engaging enough to feel invested in the story. I was very invested in solving the puzzle and got genuinely scared when I almost sent the wrong artifact to the exhibit. And the fact that the cursed object is randomized just makes me even more impressed. Music, sprites - all amazing!

Long story short: this game has an unbelievable amount of work and polish in it, and it really shows. Thank you for creating this wonderful experience!

This is such an incredibly kind and thoughtful comment ;__; You managed to highlight some of the elements I was feeling most insecure about and hearing that you specifically liked them has absolutely made my day! It's especially gratifying to know that the puzzle element really worked for you; I was feeling like I didn't have time to put in the polish that I wanted (I might do an update) and knowing that you were really invested makes it feel worth it. Thank you so much for playing; I'm sincerely so glad you enjoyed it and really appreciate the thought you put into this response!

Lovely. THough I might come back to see what happens if you curse the place up...

Perhaps you will see something spooky 👀 Thanks so much for playing!

This is so imaginative and the writing and world building are really great. I love how it's not just about trying to figure out which object is the extra cursed one and that your choices affect all sorts of other outcomes too, such as your dating life and how successful the exhibition is. Well done!

Thank you so much! I had a great time figuring out the different outcomes, and I have truly wanted to write romance options for a game for ages now, so I saw an opportunity and took it. I'm so glad you played and enjoyed!

this is SO GOOD!!! i want to live in this world. what a ridiculously interesting job this would be!! the mechanics are great - i loved having to put thought into what i was choosing, and getting everyone to give their input on it, especially the cat (and i love that the Extra Cursed one is random!) - but more than anything, it's the characters and the writing which charmed my socks off. feels really realistic and exactly like the kind of banter you'd have with friends at work. loved all the bits, and the radio guys, and i replayed to see what the response to what may or may not be beston jeeper's kettle was (as mine was cursed the first time!). really just a lovely game

Thank you so much!!! I had the absolute best time writing this so I'm so glad it hits (the beston jeepers lyrics were an eleventh hour addition so I'm thrilled that reactions to his kettle was an incentive for a replay!) I fully intend to revisit this world (it is actually the same world that I made for my nanowrimo project last year about breaking curses and having student loans; we chatted about it a little in the DIN iirc and I'm still working on that one!). If for no other reason than that I have to give the people more beston jeepers lore. Thank you so much again for playing and enjoying my favorite game I've ever made!

Holy fricking moly this is a silly and fun lil adventure.... All of the characters are for sure beloved, but, if I were to decide the most beloved, it'd easily be the cat. The other two give you information on the curses, but the cat??? The cat gives you evidence. Kinda. Maybe??? Honestly don't know what any of their reactions to the curses meant but they probably helped. Ultimately, though, if there's one thing to hone in on here, it's finding joy in the fact that Beston Jeepers loves holding hands so much. I'm more of a hug person myself, but hand-holding is another very important facet of affection.

ALSO AS MARCOMIX IS SAYING AAAAA MULTIPLE CHOICES. CHOICES IN GENERAL. I knew such things were probably in bitsy forks, but gaaaahhhh. That sorta function is really nice, isn't it..... Almost makes it start to feel like an RPGMaker game, truly...... And such a function is definitely used well here. SO MUCH DIALOGUE. HELL YEAH.

THIS WAS DELIGHTFUL!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT!!!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it! I had such a good time making it so I'm loving seeing people loving it, lol. You are completely correct about the cat btw. Cats have good instincts! But they're not very good communicators.

I'm glad to be creating a fanbase for Beston Jeepers.

This is fantastic. You found a really engaging way to structure a story in so few environments! The characters were very endearing too. That extreme close up of Meredith at the start was hilarious.

Being able to create such simple dialogue trees is a Borksy thing? I think I need to check that out for myself as not having any is a really tricky limitation to work around in Bitsy.

Oh, and the Beston Jeepers running gag really paid off on that final drive. Amazing.

Thanks so much! I had a TON of fun writing these characters; I think of the whole museum kind of like a sitcom set. (Protip for a Beston Jeepers fan -- if you put his kettle on display and then talk to some of the people around it, you get some song lyrics)

Dialog choices is FAR and away my favorite Bitsy hack; I cannot recommend it enough! It's very simple to use, and it opens up so much potential.

Yeah, I could tell you had a lot of fun writing it. And you know that kettle had to be on display.

Could it be cursed? Maybe.

Will it attract a ton of people? Definitely.
